Troubled teen Jo Fay becomes violent and assaults a nurse at the hospital after learning that her gravely ill mother is ineligible for a liver transplant because of her long-term alcoholism. Years later, Jo is discharged from a psychiatric facility, appearing stable but secretly nurturing an intense desire for vengeance against those she holds responsible for her mother’s demise.
