Following a bar fight with an off-duty police officer, wannabe gangster Fan (played by Neo Yau, known for Fire Lee’s eccentric film Robbery) finds himself sentenced to a three-month stint in a juvenile detention facility akin to Hong Kong’s Sha Tsui Detention Center. This institution employs a military-style approach to rehabilitation. The program is characterized by verbal insults and mistreatment, administered by the disenchanted and weary staff, although there are a few guards who genuinely believe in the system.
