Katie, a once-successful musician who has hit a low point in Los Angeles, returns to New Zealand to rebuild her life. Stephen, Mark, and Katie decide to reconnect by spending a night at a beach house reminiscent of happier times. Fig and Sally soon join them, followed by Eddie, Katie’s American boyfriend. Mark finally embraces Stephen’s affection, Katie and Eddie decide to get engaged, and Fig and Sally continue their carefree lifestyle.
