Lee, an American woman burdened by life’s challenges, finds herself in an Italian city. Her interactions with the hotel staff, constant smoking, and indifference to the phone that won’t stop ringing suggest a simmering unrest within her. Amidst sporadic naps, she roams the city streets, capturing images of refugees with her camera, which serves as both a tool of confrontation and a gesture of peace. As she battles her inner turmoil, Lee decides to assist a striking young woman who requires help.
