This adaptation of Charles Dickens’s “Oliver Twist” is set in a world filled with drug dealers, pimps, and sex workers, yet it retains the timeless themes of the original story. A 10-year-old boy named Lee finds himself trapped under the control of a sleazy brothel owner. He forms a friendship with Angel, a musician with dreams of success, who aids in his escape.
