In the year 1875, Katherine’s world is turned upside down when her cherished husband, Caleb, is killed in a plot devised by the villainous Colonel Davis. Left to face her grief alone, Katherine encounters John Scobell, a Black man burdened by his history as an ex-Pinkerton agent.
