Alison Peters, a woman who has always followed the rules, finds her life in disarray when her legal career stalls, forcing her to take a job at a grocery store. Meanwhile, Alison and her friend Sarah face harassment from their boss, Brandon, at work. When Brandon is found dead, Alison becomes a suspect in the eyes of the police.
