Dane Jensen is a highly motivated headhunter operating in Chicago at a fiercely competitive job placement agency. When his boss reveals plans to retire, he sets up a contest between Dane and his equally ambitious yet fundamentally different colleague, Lynn Vogel, to determine who will take over leadership of the company.
