A remarkable hand-colored version of the iconic 1902 film, A TRIP TO THE MOON by Georges Méliès, was found and painstakingly restored over 12 years, making its grand reappearance at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2011. THE EXTRAORDINARY VOYAGE, a film by Serge Bromberg and Eric Lange, chronicles the journey of this cinematic masterpiece from its creation over a hundred years ago to its stunning restoration in 2011. This documentary will have its world premiere at the Museum of Modern Art in New York on November 11 at 7 PM, alongside the Méliès film, which features a new, impressive soundtrack by the French band AIR.
