Russel Brody, once a celebrated playwright, is working hard on a new play that he hopes will return him to the fame he desperately desires. However, with a baby on the way and a marriage under strain, stress and frustration become his main focus. When his wife tragically falls down the stairs and succumbs to her injuries, Brody’s mental health deteriorates into deep despair. In an effort to help Brody regain his sanity, his co-writer, David Stanley, advises him to reconnect with Lucy, his former lover. This act awakens the spirit of Brody’s deceased wife, who learns of his infidelity and becomes a vengeful ghost, haunting him in terrifying ways.
