After being left hanging by her boyfriend Brad (played by William McNamara), Rachel (portrayed by Jamie Luner) encounters Michael (Johnny Messner) and his teenage daughter, Sophia. While preparing for the Christmas Eve pageant, Sophia struggles to reach the high note in her solo of “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.” Rachel steps in to help Sophia with her performance and, in the process, develops a budding interest in Michael.
