Todd and Bruce, an inept duo of screenwriters, are given a final opportunity to make it big, courtesy of Todd’s affluent uncle, Sarge. The catch? They must craft a compelling horror screenplay, and if they succeed, Sarge will bankroll the entire production. However, there’s a stipulation: the script must be finished within a fortnight. With the clock ticking and creativity running dry, Todd and Bruce retreat to Shangri-La, a tranquil haven for artists, hoping the calm environment and the presence of other creatives will spark their inspiration. If not for a masterpiece, then at least for a direct-to-DVD release. Contrary to its name, Shangri-La turns out to be anything but peaceful, as artists begin to perish one by one under mysterious circumstances. Bruce persuades Todd to draw from this grim setting to fuel their writing, but soon they find themselves in a desperate struggle for survival.
