Lisa Templeton starts working as a janitor at High Hopes Hospital, a psychiatric facility in Amityville, Long Island. At first, she is thrilled about her new position, but it quickly becomes clear that things are not quite right. The staff’s intimidating behavior and the patients’ deranged outbursts unsettle her, and eerie supernatural events during her night shifts add to her distress.
