When Lawrence, a Chinese-Australian teenager, resorts to cheating and still flunks his high school exams, his aspirations of pursuing a medical degree are shattered. As a consequence, he is sent to the countryside for the summer. During his time there, he encounters the crafty Professor, an experienced con artist, and his skeptical daughter, Sarah.
