Set in 1986, a team of graduate students is on the verge of uncovering the effects on the human brain after 200 hours of sleep deprivation. However, their experiment takes a disastrous turn with one of the test subjects. When their department is closed, the group decides to continue their research clandestinely, this time using themselves as the subjects.
