Eiko is trapped in an unfulfilling marriage and seeks solace in a relationship with the younger Mitsuo. After a period of intense romance, Eiko decides she cannot continue this way and ends the affair. Two years pass, and Eiko’s younger sister, Yuiko, is joyfully engaged and introduces her fiancé to Eiko. To Eiko’s shock, the fiancé is none other than Mitsuo.
