Shōyō Hinata was inspired to take up volleyball after watching the “small giants” excel in the sport during his elementary school days. His middle school volleyball journey ends in a devastating loss to his adversary, Tobio Kageyama, during his first and final tournament. Determined to seek vengeance, Hinata enrolls at Kurasuno High School and joins their volleyball team, only to discover that Kageyama is also a member. Despite their past rivalry, the two become an iconic duo, combining Hinata’s agility with Kageyama’s precise ball control.
