From an early age, Max, an 11-year-old, has recognized herself as a girl. As she approaches puberty, her expressions of gender nonconformity become more pronounced. When Max was just eight, her father, Stephen, departed from the family household. However, as Max’s belief that she is trapped in the wrong body grows stronger, her emotional turmoil increases. This prompts Stephen to move back in with the family to offer his support to his child.
