“Black Dynamite” is an American animated TV show inspired by the 2009 movie of the same name, though it follows its own storyline while occasionally referencing the film. The series was announced soon after the movie’s debut, with a 10-minute pilot airing on Adult Swim Video on August 8, 2011. The complete series launched on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, a late-night programming segment, on July 15, 2012. Michael Jai White, Byron Minns, Tommy Davidson, and Kym Whitley return to voice their original characters, Black Dynamite, Bullhorn, Cream Corn, and Honeybee, respectively.
