When the Cylons, long-standing adversaries, reappear and destroy the 12 colonies, the crew aboard the venerable Galactica take on the responsibility of safeguarding a small group of civilian ships—the remnants of the human race—as they embark on a quest to find the legendary 13th colony, Earth.
