In a vibrant Puerto Rican neighborhood, Rico, who works as a humble car mechanic during the day, finds his true passion at night, dancing and charming attractive dance partners. He is confident that he will win the title of Salsa King at the prestigious La Luna nightclub’s upcoming competition. To ensure he has more freedom to pursue his flirtatious classmate Lola, he encourages his polite and well-mannered best friend, Ken, to date his sister, Margarita. However, complications arise when the current salsa queen, Luna, shows interest in partnering with Rico, putting a strain on his tumultuous relationship with Vicki.
