In the year 2031, the remnants of the SDF-1 and SDF-2 become engulfed by the spores of the Flower of Life. Suddenly, the Invid emerge from Hyperspace, heading directly towards Earth. Upon impact, they transform the crash site into an enormous hive, which will later be known as Reflex Point. In a short span of time, the Invid seize control of the ravaged planet.
