Based on a script by the prolific Kim Ki-duk, the story revolves around two neighboring families residing in identical white suburban homes with lush green lawns. One household hails from South Korea, while the other is a fabricated family composed of North Korean operatives. These spies are compelled to follow every directive from their government, which keeps their true families as leverage. However, the two families begin to influence one another, and over time, the political tensions within the North Korean household start to surface. Inevitably, romantic relationships develop across the border, involving both the older and younger generations.
