In “Player,” we follow a principled and somewhat dull attorney (Bjerg) who travels to Nice to handle a divorce case. Upon his arrival, things quickly spiral out of control—he is swindled out of $2 million in company funds, leaving his prospects grim. However, his fortunes take an unexpected turn when he encounters an old friend, a gambler with a questionable lifestyle (Christensen).
