Ronald Plasmeyer, portrayed by Ruben Van Der Meer, is a down-on-his-luck detective in Amsterdam, grappling with financial woes due to his gambling addiction. When Hao, a Chinese crime lord, threatens his former wife and child to recover his debts, Ronald devises a scheme to resolve his troubles. He recruits two minor criminals, played by Ton Kas and René Van ‘t Hof, to stage a heist at an underground poker game he’s attending, giving him a solid alibi. The plan is designed to be swift, straightforward, and non-violent, seemingly without any flaws—until the situation turns deadly. Ronald’s accomplices abscond with the loot, leaving him with nothing. To complicate matters further, his fellow officers begin to suspect his involvement in the heist, leading to a tense pursuit. Ronald finds himself fully committed, yet facing the most challenging situation of his life.
