In this romantic comedy, we follow the story of Amira, an English tutor, and Juki, a fiery-tempered Betawi man. The plot kicks off when Suchin, a Thai girl and Juki’s girlfriend, enlists Amira, her English tutor, to inform Juki that their relationship is over because she has landed a job in America. Up until this point, Suchin and Juki have been communicating through gestures. When Amira delivers Suchin’s message, Juki refuses to accept the breakup and insists that Amira teach him English so he can pursue Suchin. Out of fear of Juki, Amira agrees to give him private lessons. Meanwhile, another man named Taufan begins to show interest in Amira.
