Hailey organizes parties for puppies and crosses paths with Ryan, whose daughter is eager for a pet and hopes her father will find love again. Despite their mutual attraction, Hailey and Ryan find themselves at odds because he plans to build a mall on the site where she envisions a dog park. Nevertheless, they become closer, with Ryan stepping in to assist when Hailey’s neighbor threatens her business. However, Hailey starts to worry that her romantic hopes might be misplaced when Ryan becomes distant. Shifting her focus to establishing a dog sanctuary, Hailey is unexpectedly invited to host a puppy party that could lead to permanent homes for her dogs and perhaps fulfill her own romantic dreams.
