Brian Owens, formerly a distinguished quantum mechanics professor, finds himself teaching at a community college after an unfortunate incident cost him his esteemed position. Determined to restore his reputation, he dedicates his nights to constructing the world’s inaugural teleportation device in his garage. Meanwhile, he navigates the romantic interest of an art professor at the college, steers clear of his eccentric elderly neighbor, and deals with the relentless loan sharks who financed his project. However, his most significant challenge remains his inability to make the machine function.
