Hopeless romantic Matt (Brandon W. Jones) decides it’s time to propose to his girlfriend, Alexis (Cassi Thomson). Before the big night, he rehearses his proposal with his best friend, Liz (Christa B. Allen). Matt is convinced that by following the guidelines of his beloved romantic comedies, he’s sure to get a “Yes!” However, to his surprise, Alexis gently turns him down, explaining that he’s more enamored with the idea of love than with a genuine relationship. After this unforeseen setback, Matt immerses himself in a marathon of rom-coms and devises a plan to win Alexis back. Although Liz finds Matt’s plan ridiculous, she agrees to assist him. The attempt to revive his relationship seems to be succeeding, but Matt soon realizes that he and Alexis may have drifted apart and that his heart might belong elsewhere.
