Ah Jie, having lost everything in the stock market crash, isolates himself in his apartment, where he spends his time smoking marijuana and tending to the cannabis plants he secretly cultivates in his closet. In a moment of despair, he reaches out to a suicide hotline and connects with Chyi, whose soothing and kind voice captivates him, leading him to develop an idealized image of her. Despite his attempts to meet her, she consistently turns him down. Disappointed, Ah Jie starts to project his fantasies of Chyi onto Shin, a new employee at the betel nut stand downstairs, who dresses provocatively to attract male customers. As Ah Jie grows closer to Shin, they both indulge in a world filled with sensual and hallucinatory experiences. Meanwhile, Ah Jie begins to obsessively follow Chyi.
