Judge George, portrayed by Harvey Keitel, takes his young wife, Nathalie, played by Cameron Diaz, to a secluded island for a getaway. During their stay, George goes on a fishing excursion with their sole neighbor, Lance, who is also Nathalie’s childhood friend, played by Craig Sheffer. Meanwhile, Nathalie reconnects with her former lover, Kent, portrayed by Billy Zane.
