Harold Mortimer finds himself as the sole survivor of his family line, with nothing but a crumbling castle to his name. Desperate for funds to restore the estate, he previously relied on income from tourists. However, the once-reliable ghosts that used to frighten and entertain visitors have vanished, driven away by the depletion of the whisky cellar. This absence of spirits leads to a decline in tourists, resulting in no income, no renovations, no whisky, and consequently, no ghosts—a relentless cycle. Frustrated, Harold resolves to banish the ghosts permanently, sending them back to their resting place in the graveyard. There, he encounters Paolo, the cemetery’s gardener. The two quickly form a friendship and decide to embark on a journey to Spain together, with Paolo owning a boat. But the question remains: how will they reach the sea? Could the magical fairy lend them a hand?
