A once Bay City police officer is struggling to keep his struggling private investigation firm afloat and ensure his dedicated assistant remains employed. His fortunes seem to change when a stunningly wealthy client hires him to recover a piece of extremely valuable jewelry. This is his first client in quite some time, but Philip soon realizes that her story is far more complex than she initially let on. Curiously, the authorities are discouraging him from pursuing this case, as well as the mysterious circumstances surrounding his deceased wife’s passing. As he delves deeper, it becomes increasingly evident that everyone he encounters is hiding something.
