A small business owner, who supplements his income by driving a taxi, learns during a meeting with his banker that the bribe required for a loan has doubled. The ethics board, which he approached to report the extortion, now demands its own cut. Driven to desperation, he shoots the banker and then himself. This tragic event ignites a national conversation on talk radio about the pervasive despair in society. Meanwhile, six taxi drivers and their passengers navigate the night, each seeking a more hopeful path forward.
