Over the last 26 years, 16 attempts have been made to conquer one of Pakistan’s towering 8,000-meter peaks during the winter season, all without success. However, on February 2, 2011, Simone Moro, Denis Urubko, and Cory Richards achieved this remarkable feat. Cory Richards is now the sole American to have reached the summit of any 8,000-meter peak in winter. The expedition was perilous and almost cost them their lives. Throughout the journey, Cory documented their harrowing experience with a small camera. This film presents their story through the unfiltered and candid lens of Cory’s camera.
