Andy “Brink” Brinker and his in-line skating friends—Peter, Jordy, and Gabriella—are known as the “Soul-Skaters,” a group that skates purely for enjoyment rather than profit. They find themselves at odds with Team X-Bladz, a rival group of sponsored skaters led by Val, who also attend their high school in Southern California. Faced with his family’s financial difficulties, Brink decides to join Team X-Bladz, despite the disapproval of his parents and friends. As he attempts to juggle both worlds, the question remains: can Brink successfully maintain his double life?
