As first-year student Konoha Inoue is about to exit the school grounds, he witnesses a girl eating a page from her book. She reveals herself to be Tōko Amano, a second-year student known as the literature girl, and persuades him to join the Literature Club to keep her secret safe. Nearly two years pass with just the two of them as club members when they receive an unusual message: a piece of paper with an odd drawing. Their investigation into this leads them not only to uncover Inoue’s past but also to the reason he has vowed never to write novels again.
