Elwood, the surviving member of the “Blues Brothers,” is out of prison and finds himself recruited by Sister Mary Stigmata for her new mission to gather money for a children’s hospital. He sets off on a journey to bring the band back together and compete for the top prize at the New Orleans Battle of the Bands. Meanwhile, law enforcement, headed by Cabel, the son of Curtis, is hot on his trail across the country.
