Fatima, a modern Muslim girl from Toronto, grows up in a family with diverse cultural influences and conflicting ideas about her place in the world. She becomes captivated by the liberating atmosphere of a glamorous Burlesque cabaret, where she discovers her bold and self-assured alter ego, “Babylon.” Eventually, she faces the challenge of integrating her former identity with this newfound persona.
