Lea, Adrian, and their younger brother Theo, who was born deaf, head to Provence for a vacation with their grandfather, Paul “Oliveron,” whom they have never met due to a family dispute. This isn’t the holiday they envisioned, especially after their father revealed just yesterday that he was leaving the family. Within a day, a generational conflict erupts between the teenagers and their grandfather, whom they initially consider eccentric. However, they soon realize they were mistaken. As the turbulent past comes to light, Paul’s experiences from the 1970s emerge in the heart of the Alpilles. Throughout this tumultuous summer, both generations will find themselves transformed by one another.
