Based on actual events, “Dynamite: A Cautionary Tale” tells the story of Max Bornstein, a devoted family man who was deeply entrenched in drug addiction while working in the illicit pornography industry of New York City in 1968. As he transported books and films to various delivery points and mob locations along the east coast, Max was constantly pursued by federal agents. Despite the looming federal investigation, Max’s greatest concern was his wife and two young children, who were unaware of his true lifestyle as it began to unravel. Struggling with his overpowering addiction, a disintegrating family, and increasing suspicion from his colleagues about his drug use, Max finds himself powerless as his carefully constructed life collapses, leaving him to seek solace in the gaps between his crumbling reality.
