When Bob Hart, a widowed detective juggling the challenges of raising his defiant teenage daughter, inherits a horse ranch in Montana, he eagerly seizes the chance to swap the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles for the wide-open spaces. Shortly after settling in, Bob takes on the role of county sheriff and quickly realizes that the idyllic rural setting is anything but peaceful.
