Set in the year A.D. 60, “Boudica” tells the story of the titular Celtic warrior who leads the Iceni tribe with her husband, Prasutagus. After his death at the hands of Roman soldiers, Boudica finds her kingdom without a male successor, prompting the Romans to confiscate her land and possessions. Pushed to the brink of insanity and fueled by a desire for vengeance, Boudica unites the local tribes to launch a monumental rebellion against the powerful Roman Empire.
