Petrochemist Andy Yeats is acutely aware of the world’s reliance on oil and the catastrophic consequences that would ensue if the oil supply were disrupted: transportation would come to a standstill, deliveries would stop, and law enforcement would be stretched beyond its limits. During a business trip to the Middle East, Andy’s worst nightmares begin to unfold, and his family is scattered at this critical juncture. His teenage daughter, Laura, is left alone in London, while his wife, Elena, and young son, Sam, are in Paris.
