A socially inept yet ambitious teenager opts to obtain a “mail order best friend” and chooses a cultured exchange student from France. However, he inadvertently brings over his worst nightmare: a cologne-drenched, chain-smoking, sex-driven young man who swiftly turns into the local hero.
