After escaping from a rehabilitation zoo, Frankie, a clever squirrel, makes his way back to his forest home. There, he discovers from his not-so-bright best friend Cody, a porcupine with a knack for street cons, that during his absence, the forest was completely stripped of acorns by The A.C.O.R.N.S. Institute (Alternative Cosmetic Oils for Regenerative Natural Skin-care). With winter fast approaching, this loss poses a serious threat to all the forest animals. Determined to help, Frankie decides to infiltrate the newly built, high-tech, rodent-proof A.C.O.R.N.S. Processing Plant to reclaim the stolen acorns. Although the heist seems nearly impossible, pulling it off would not only ensure the survival of his forest companions but also offer Frankie a chance to win back Lola, the “show squirrel” he loves. Unfortunately, Lola has been let down by Frankie’s broken promises too many times before.
