The Lunar Base Ark, engaged in ore exploration, suffers significant damage when struck by a meteor shower. Colonel Gerard Brauchman assigns crewmember Ava Cameron the task of repairing a wing filled with CO2. Dr. Lance Krauss cautions that the gas could induce paranoia and hallucinations. During her work, Ava retrieves a meteor sample for examination, and Dr. Krauss discovers spores attached to it. Ava accidentally cuts her finger on the sample but conceals the injury from the doctor. Subsequently, Ava becomes pregnant and gives birth to an alien creature. Despite her claims, Col. Brauchman and Dr. Krauss dismiss her story as delusional. The alien offspring bites crewman Bruce Johns, leading to the revelation that Bruce has been cloned by the alien. The crew soon realizes the clone’s dangerous nature.
