Amelia Tate was satisfied with her life, having set aside her acting aspirations to care for her younger sister, Kathryn, after their parents’ death. However, when Kathryn persuades her to try out for the lead in a new version of Roman Holiday, Amelia’s world is turned upside down. She is swiftly taken to Rome to prepare, where she is accommodated in the very suite Audrey Hepburn once used, complete with a personal butler. Yet, with newfound fame comes challenges, as the studio pairs her with a charming American journalist who has his own goals. Amelia and Philip initially clash as she tries to maintain her privacy, but as they spend more time together, she begins to trust him and opens up. When a misunderstanding about his writing surfaces, Amelia must decide if this revelation will jeopardize her chance at a happy ending.
