“Punk’s Dead,” the follow-up to the 1999 cult classic “SLC Punk,” takes viewers on a wild punk adventure through the remote areas of Utah. The story follows Ross, Penny, and Crash, three young misfits from different backgrounds, as they set off on a road trip to attend a massive punk concert. Nineteen-year-old Ross is the son of Trish and Heroin Bob, who passed away before Ross was born. Throughout their journey, fueled by a mix of drugs, alcohol, and punk rock, Ross sheds his gloomy Gothic perspective and learns to embrace life. Meanwhile, his mother Trish, who raised him alone in her steampunk store, realizes he is in trouble. She enlists the help of Bob’s former SLC friends, whom Ross considers his ‘uncles,’ to track him down. When everyone converges at the concert, they must confront their unresolved feelings about Bob.
