“Jane by Design” is a comedy-drama TV series from ABC Family that centers on Jane Quimby, a teenager who lands her dream job in the fashion industry by being mistaken for an adult. She works alongside the renowned designer Gray Chandler Murray while managing the challenges of living a double life—balancing her high school responsibilities with her high-fashion career. The network approved the series in April 2011, and it debuted on January 3, 2012, right after “Switched at Birth.” On February 29, 2012, the show received an order for eight additional episodes, which aired during the summer from June 5 to July 31, 2012. However, on August 17, 2012, ABC Family announced the show’s cancellation.
